Meet the Charis Dumfries Staff

Andrew and Jasmine Sharp

Andrew and Jasmine Sharp have been in full-time ministry for over 30 years.

They have pastored churches in England and Guernsey with an emphasis on Church Growth and the ministry of healing.

Andrew has a keen interest in Bible teaching and Jasmine delights to help people to worship.

Having completed the Charis Correspondence course with a group in their church, Andrew and Jasmine completed their second and third-year courses at, now closed, Charis Belfast where they then volunteered for a further two years.

They have helped lead mission teams to parts of Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, North Wales, Finland and Bulgaria.

In 2017, Andrew and Jasmine joined the pioneering team at Charis Dumfries, under the directorship of Chris and Lisa Cree. Since May 2021, Andrew has been the Director and Jasmine the Dean of Students.

They have three married children and nine grandchildren.

James Joseph

James and Khandu Joseph have been married for over 20 years having met through Youth With A Mission in India.

After returning from India, James and Khandu served in a local church in the Highlands of Scotland leading small groups, and various ministries until the Lord called them to go to Colorado to do their first and second year at Charis Bible College.

Then sensing that the Lord was calling them back to Scotland, they moved to Dumfries to pioneer a new Bible College and to finish the Third Year Leadership Programme at Charis Dumfries.

James has been a member of the staff team at Charis Dumfries since 2017 and Khandu looks after their three children as well as running her own business.

Charis Dumfries is blessed to be served by eight other Third Year Charis graduates, who freely give their time to bless the students with their teaching and group facilitation.
